ALL filehosts should be shutdown.

Piracy in all forms should be removed and let people pay for what they need/use, just like other items.

Theft is theft, no matter how it is worded
Do you think that if you shutdown all filehosts/torrents/p2p and so on, you remove piracy? Piracy exists before technology came about.

It's as if you asked for the cessation of war, hunger, exploitation, etc.
Thefts exist since there is a man, so to remove piracy you have to remove the man himself.

guys this is offtopic, stop replying to his trolling, he knows exactly the kind of responses he will get posting this here and you are giving him exactl what he wants.
filehosts earn money from piracy everyone knows this, and this has been discussed many many times
this thread is about the hotfile shutdown.

How much revenue did the guy who owns hotfile make in total? Even with the lawsuit, did he still gain a profit running the site?

The lawsuit was against hotfile not him, so he could have still made a nice profit.
AFAIK hotfile only had 1 owner Anton Titov, when you own the company you are completely responsible for paying for all legal issues, even if your company declared bankruptcy
anyone know any court documents that showed how much they earned?

Since hotfile banned affiliates accounts and deleted all files. Nobody worked with them.
Their earning only = 1/10.000 before :-=
I think they shut down to build new one with better affiliate program

No they did not shutdown to build a better program. If you can read you can see exactly why they shutdown on their website. JESUS CHRIST!

I remember when there were no ttnet and people were downloading wrz with dialup even if it was very expensive
and I can remember I was paying $100 for 1 cd game (but games were small and we could get 20 games in a cd)
and 1 game was $5. And now new games are 4-5 DVD and downloading them gettting longer time and internet
companies are converting from UNLIMITED internet to LIMITED internet (50-100 gb each month) to prevent wrz
and compensate their bandwith cost.
