I have bought shared hosting from hidemyhost.com because I see two treads here in wjunction.
they have issues with their firewall I gave them 6 days to fix it but they did not.
I asked for a refund and they stopped answering me.
I asked for explanation to sampathneo and he does not answer.

they offer:

  • 7 days Money Back Guarantee
  • Unlimited 24/7 Quality Support
but none of that is true.

cPanel shared hosting does not allow remote mysql connections by default i think. Host mysql on same server as your PHP or get a VPS where you can allow everything needed.
