Hide Real Download Link

I have a website and I repost download links from different sites. I'm just wondering if there's a way to hide the real download link, For example "www.realdomainname.com/downloadfile=2313223" to "www.customdomainname.com/ascxzcsd" or anything like that. I'm not talking about URL shortener like TinyURL & Bit ly coz it still reveals the real download link when the user access the download tab (chrome://downloads/). Alternatively, I can just reupload the files to mediafire but its too time consuming.

P.S I'm using blogger >_<

well becouse u use blogger u can't, but if u put some other domain on hosting u can use .htaccess to redirect 301

so example

put some domain on your hosting example www.123.info

and in root folder of that domain make .htaccess

in .htaccess file write

redirect 301 /sometext http://somelink

and www.123.info/sometext will redirect to http://somelink

p.s. to .htaccess work webserver must be apache

I tried it on a free webhost, It still reveals the real download link when the user access the download page in chrome (chrome://downloads/) Thanks for the help anyway

is there any php script that can achieve this?

for example the file is hosted at "www.winrar.com/download?id=33"
and i want it to be "www.mysite.com/download?id=33" Thanks!

just install php script for link counting/hiding on external(even in free host is enough)

so you can even get the number of clicks or visits through that link...

what it do.......??
it is just a script hosted in external site(not possible in blogger, i think you know that)

just paste the original link, it will give the domain used for hosting the script..

Eg:
http://originalfilehostlink.com/jclkjcdlkc

script hosted in
http://yourdomain.com

now after input of original link you get..
http://yourdomain.com/click?124

so when user clicks the above link, it will redirected to originalfilehostlink in server side

YOU ARE ABLE TO DISPALY THE NUMBER OF CLICKS/VISITS OF THE LINK NEAR THE LINK
No database needed, very simple script

i am using that script for my rapidleech monitoring blog (in blogger) , it have few script installed in external...

rapidleech site online or offline..

with wordpress use a plugin called "gocodes"

in wordpress, link cloaking plugins are popular....
check eclipse link cloaking or few free cloaking plugins too availble..
