Hetzner DMCA storage question

Hello guys,

We have this scenario:

- Hetzner dedicated server storing movies/shows
- Proxy servers
- End client

End client connects to the proxy servers requesting the media, proxy servers are requesting the data from hetzner and serves it to end client,
in this scenario hetzner server(s) are never exposed to the end client, they cannot know the storage server(s)

so the question is: without end client knowing the hetzner servers, could I bypass the Hetzner TOS and keep piracy(maybe) if nobody reports, they cannot know, right?

Yes, it should work.

But the routing/peering should be good between Hetzner and your proxy, and the proxy needs to be stable. Offshore hosting is mostly not stable. They are constantly being attacked or have very bad peering.

So if you plan to "stream" for your customers, your proxies need at least a 10 Gbps connection to serve the traffic to your Hetzner servers.

Hetzner will never notice anything because abuse will go to the proxy.

The best way is to load balance, use several proxies.

How much do several proxies cost? 10 gbps

Well, a proxy server could be on every machine, so on every basic 10 Gb/s private server you can build a reverse proxy with nginx's help or building it by yourself

I'm thinking to build my own CDN, so the load balance will be fixed, the most important thing is that I need to find good providers that are not scared of DMCA reports, and they close my account.

Do not use Hetzner. They are worst and take your files down. Use smaller host companies which have single owner and do not care about DMCA.
