Help with my forums

hi, guys im having trouble getting people to post stuff, i know it scares people to see a forums thats not consistently getting new posts, but there aren't any new posts!
i have like 14 members right now and 3-4 of them are just me and some friends then the rest and other real members, but nobody posts anything!
Can help would be nice

I've seen a lot of forum startups use competitions to get forums going, for example users who post 10 informative and usefull threads / replies between certains dates will be entered into a prize draw and win some goodies.

Also you have a lot of forums, this could be a problem also, try cutting down on a few that don't get used and focus on some specifically and get them built up and then add the ones you removed in over time when you are attracting more visitors.

Visit other forums related to yours as well and find usefull threads there and write up your own versions and post them to your forums, try to get 5 or so per topic over a range of topics so you can maybe pick up people from google looking for help on something.

But it is also a hugely saturated area are technical forums so you will struggle to get people to visit yours instead of going to one of the older more respected forums.
