how do i setup the domain using custom nameserver from a reseller?the resller is giving me a custom nameserver....

first go to your WHM, then find edit DNS

edit your domain

then add it. example ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com

then add
ns1 A yourIP
ns2 A yourIP

after that save it.

Then go to your domain manager, add it in child nameserver, after that you can use your own custom name server
 
editing your own domain.

example your domain is: abcd.com

then your user is zxcf.com

and your user namserver must be ns1.abcd.com and ns2.abcd.com

so you must edit dns for abcd.com
 
after you edit dns, then add in there

ns1 A yourIP
ns2 A yourIP

then go to domain manager, create child nameserver

after that change your nameserver in domain manager
 
I think that you just need to go to your domain registar and make a new (child) nameserves .

If you're reseller give you nameservers example ns1.yourdoman.com and ns2.yourdomain.com you need to register this nameservers in your domain registar (example godaddy)
 
hmm or u can do one thing go to ur domain maneger and then add the custom name servers which ur reseller has given u and in dns propogation it will gona take time atleast some hours , it will not be instant change , hope it will help ya out
 
hours to propagate ? i change on the fly constantly takes 5 minutes dont listn to rubbish just go to your domain and edit the nameservers with your server ip whm will find it once the account is being built
 
lol @BizZaro stop cutting the points all gives comments here as their point of view and seems ur using some dns i told him if he is not using dns it will be gona take 1 hr or hrs to propogate alright if u don't knw abt that so better read something guide abt domains and all
