Help Needed

hello all.
i have a problem.
my forum is messed up. it was vb3.8.1.
now i dont want to reinstall it..
i want to install a fresh copy of vb 4.0.
but i dont want to lost my threads and users.
so plsh help me which table of database i have to import frm vb 3.8.1 to vb 4.0 for users and threads.

Take a backup of ya database I guess, install Vb 4 and add the data base to it.What you guys think?

better way is to upload the files of vb3.8.1
and then upgrade to 4
