You might not want to take the recommendations you get at face value. I would tell you to look at the reliability, up time, customer service and the reputation of a few companies. Read a few reviews and don't base your decision on the lowest price. It isn't about be lucky but smart. At least that applies when choosing a hosting provider.

Well that depends on your need's. If you need onshore or ofshore.

As sabrina said, dont focus on really cheap servers. Try to find an equilibrium between Price/Service.
