I noticed a huge fluctuation on google search analytics since January 12. Did Google implement an algorithm update in search results? Also, I want to see if others here noticed something as well.
IDK about a core update, but they've recently started A/B testing a new search page that requires Javascript, which is breaking a lot of SEO tools/crawlers and bots. If your site has little traffic it's possible that's (part of) what you're noticing.
Yes, fluctuations in Google search rankings can often be attributed to algorithm updates. Google regularly makes updates to its search algorithms to improve the quality and relevance of search results. While specific updates may not always be publicly announced, significant changes are typically noted in digital marketing communities.
Came here for an update: organic search traffic didn't just normalized, it actually grew multiple times than it used to. I guess the new algo rewarded my site for having curated quality content and high non-bot audience retention I built up for years in the end and not like the usual keyword stuffing.
