http://deadlyjokes.com

The domain is 2 weeks old and the site is up and fully running since 1 week (posted content)

I have used all the White Hat SEO Techniques I knew.

Submitting Sitemap to Google
Optimizing the theme (adding h1, h2, h3 tags)
Researching & Inserting Keywords and Description relevant to the content.
Submitting content to Social Bookmarking sites
Adding the site to Directories (This I have to work more)

But, still when I google for "site:deadlyjokes.com" it shows no indexed pages.
I'm confused, why is this so ? am I doing something wrong ? what more should I do ?

I have heard that google takes 1 or 2 months for indexing, but thats concerned with the static websites, which does not have updated content.

My website is dynamic, daily the content is updated, but still none of my pages are indexed in google.

I'd like to have a good advice from the SEO Gurus here :) Please help me. This is really a bad scenario for me..

Maybe no backlinks? try getting some more, get your content on twitter maybe? I notice you're not using any SEO plugin(?) try installing AIO seo plugin, google xml plugin and robots meta, good luck.

u have this in ur robots.txt
Code:
User-agent: *
Disallow:
Sitemap: http://www.deadlyjokes.com/sitemap.xml.gz
u r blocking every bot to acces ur website thus no indexing

change it to
Code:
User-agent: *
Allow: /

lol please, you just said that the guy is blocking every bot, when in fact he ain't blocking any bot :|.

Thankyou guys for commenting :)

@Mr-R-T, I have started spreading the link on Twitter & Facebook and been doing this since a week.

I have used Platinum SEO Plugin, and the robots.txt which I use is generated in the Google Webmaster Area. So I guess its correct :)

My site has been indexed by Bing & Yahoo, but not with Google :(

I even traced that GoogleBot has visited my site, but it hasn't added any pages to the index.

@CyberDevilz,
Host Location ? My current server is in Egypt.

I guess, it can be a factor regarding this problem, but the probability is very low :(
Please confirm does Host Location affects SEO too ?

I know about site age, page speed & IP (Class C IP Range), but I didn't knew that even Website Host Location affects SEO :|

Off topic, but what kind of speeds you get there? Guessing its expensive there

I remember when I used to live there, theyd have a router or two on the roof for the whole building (around 10 floors if i remember correctly) and people would be sharing it across the houses :)):))

Use the wordpress seo plugin and the last seo plugin, those are the only ones that i use for seo.

here's what i recommend for your robots.txt:

Code:
User-agent: *

Disallow: /wp-includes
Disallow: /wp-content/plugins
Disallow: /wp-content/themes
Disallow: /feed
Disallow: /comments
Disallow: /2010/*
Disallow: /2011/*
Disallow: /2012/*

Sitemap: http://www.deadlyjokes.com/sitemap.xml.gz

When you've installed both plugins, you can customize each post's excerpt and focus keyword. for the last seo plugin, you can customize the meta keywords, etc.

You can also install wassup to check current people browsing your site ;)

With Love,

Me too, no indexing

Hi, my site yogahathayoga.com is also not being indexed. i am a newbie. i have yoast seo installed on my wp site. yoast makes a sitemap i think. my privacy settings are good. what is weird i think though is when i use those free spider checks all i see is html code. when i did an seo search for my site i also got all html code. right now i have about 12 articles on there and i write only after researching keywords. the site has only been up about 1 month. i recently opened a tweet account and tweeted all the articles. I also have at least one backlink with yahoo answers. any help would be great.
