Google Analytics Bounce Rate

Hey guys

I have a Wordpress Blog my site >> http://nds-scene.net

My traffic is all Organic and Direct no Katz, Phaze etc...

Now my bounce rate is at the moment is 55% and it never seems to drop below 50, it that a good bounce rate for my type of site?

If not what is a good bounce rate and how can I improve it?

seems pretty good for a warez type of site to have a 50% bounce rate really.. most people jsut hit and run warez type sites resulting in the high bounce rates.
 
What does Bounce Rate mean?

Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. Use this metric to measure visit quality - a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren't relevant to your visitors. The more compelling your landing pages, the more visitors will stay on your site and convert. You can minimize bounce rates by tailoring landing pages to each keyword and ad that you run. Landing pages should provide the information and services that were promised in the ad copy.

To view the bounce rates for your website, go to the Bounce Rate report under Visitors > Visitor Trending > Bounce Rate.

As you can see here generally speaking a lower bounce rate the better you are doing but it does depend on what sort of site you are running, in your case with it being a blog where there are a few people posting possibly then you will have a higher bounce rate than say a forum with a good community (this is just my estimated interpretation so please don't quote me as I could be wrong).

Having said that though you seem to be getting good traffic so I would not worry to much about it (y).

you cannot reduce ur bounce rate. Because when user come from search engine. they land on the same page they searched. After found download link they leave your site. u'll get download but u'll get Bounce also because user doesn't hit touch another page. In warez it is Normal.
