they are stored with the inactivity rule that if there is no activity with that file for 60 days it gets pruned.

this kinda fucks up using rapidleech for me.

This whole system is incredibly confusing. So if I want a rapidshare premium account I have to buy it directly from rapidshare, instead of being able to buy it on WJunction for much cheaper? That sucks.

The whole rapids/day thing is retarded, what happened to being able to buy a 30 day account, instead we have to buy rapid's to buy traffic to download things. What a mess. <_<

I do agree that the system is confusing, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand.

The reason behind it is to not reward uploaders, so RS will not be sued for being a nest of pirates.

So the rewards are gone. However, RS setup a system which is much more flexible and in the end cheaper (especially for small downloaders).

A lot of people thought if they store many files that they would be charged for it which is not true.

You select one of the hosting packages and the storage space you get if free from any inacitivty rule. Only the amount of exceeded space has the inactivity rule.

You can change packages every day. You anticipate to download a lot, you go for a higher package, you download a small amount (or nothing during time you're away) you take a cheap package (or even a free package, although that seemed to have disappeared from the list of choices).

If you download only 1Gb per day, you can stretch your premium account for much longer than the 30 days previously. In my case (I have only 1200 rapids) I can stretch my premium for 294 days (with 1Gb DL per day). For 5 Gb a day it would be 58 days.

And Rapidshare never shared the idea of selling accounts on WJ ....
