I personally use namecheap because they are awesome and have great discounts sometimes. but internetbs is probably the safest if you're running the kind of website that might agitate some rightsholders.

If your looking for a good domain registrar, I would go with namecheap.com. They are the best. Their Support is nice too. :)

Here is a list of who the big boys use:

If you are so worried about SOPA you should know that GoDaddy even though they flip flopped actually GAINED customers after they took a PR beating for SOPA.

Business is business, and there were valid reasons for supporting both sides.

But if you care at all about YOUR BUSINESS you do what is best for you.

For me I wouldn't do business with a company that doesn't offer Telephone Support.

I don't work for NameSILO, but I can say they are very good. Easy to use, now games, actual telephone number if needed. And pricing lower than anyone else including FREE PRIVACY - even at Renewal. No GAMES, No TRICKS, No Annoying Upsells.

Have you ever tried to call NameCheap? I have. You can't. Try and find a telephone number, geez try and find a real street address while you are at it. Who are they hiding from... their customers? And waiting more than 24 hours for email replies is no way to run a business. They might get back to you in a few hours or a day or two.

Set me straight. What makes them the "best".

I use a lot of Registrars but not NameCheap because they don't have phone support.

You can call GoDaddy at 3am on Easter.

NameSILO is much cheaper than NameCheap, and is a Registrar with a telephone number, no upsells, no tricks, FREE Privacy Registration even on renewals.

Why drop an extra 3 or 4 bucks on NameCheap when you can use NameSILO?
