Get data from a corrupt database

Is it possible to get good data from a corrupt databse and insert it into a new database?

I have a corrupt database and want to start a new fresh forum but want to transfer my member information (which is still working ok) to the new database. Can this be done?

Very new to playing around with sql databases. Any help would be great.

Have you tried using the "fix" options with mysql to see if it can fix the corrupt databases?
In phpmyadmin it's at the bottom in the dropdown menu.

Yes have tried the repair function but still no good. So looking for someone with some knowledge with sql databases to help out.
