Gaddafi Died (Not Safe For Work)

I've got mixed feelings about this. Gaddafi was a terrible man, there's no denying that, he's responsible for the deaths of thousands of people. The worrying thing is the circumstances of how he died, there is footage of him alive and captured by NTC troops (bleeding heavily) moments before he was supposedly gunned down whilst trying to escape.

I think they captured him and just killed him, no trial, no nothing. Whatever happens, these NTC people are just as bad as Gaddafi, if not worse as they've got everyone thinking they're heroes and defenders of freedom. Whatever happened to the "human rights" that these NTC people claimed to be defending? Gaddafi was human too...

Hopefully they'll set up some sort of functioning democracy. I really hope they get it right and not start fighting amongst each other or rigging votes, it would be bad for the whole region if Libya turned into another mess like Somalia (dictator gone = years of civil war).

+1 , those people also think who is suffering dictatorship or political figures for many years as INDIA & PAKISTAN same people come just i mean son of xxx grand son of xxx , grand daughter of xxx

this is also just like a dictatorship

And for this reason alone, don't you think his timely end serves as some sort of justice? Whatever happened to the concepts of "treat people as you would have them treat you" and/or "an eye for an eye"?

Considering these concepts as swift JUSTICE - Gaddafi could have been killed thousands of times, over and over again.

Some would believe if he suffered such a fate as that = it'd still be too good for him.

USA think that he is the king of the world. and has the right to kill or jail leaders of all countries.

each country has its own government and politics.
 
i will just say this: i was fighting 10 years against Milosevic regime and i got bombs from all over the world, the same democratic world who promised us something big if we take him down, and we got it, 78 days of cruel bombardment, kindergartens, schools, bridges, trains etc etc...

thats is ridiculous, too?
 
The good news:
- Gaddafi was something like 'nightmare' for Libyans people for over 40 years and now he's gone.

The bad news:
- We all lost a comedian person :( I mean watch his speeches (if you can understand any of'em.. def you can't) :P

Gaddafi doesn't deserve any human rights. He lost his human rights the day he started killing people. I support the ntc 100% with what they did. And I think that what they did was needed.
 
I'm sure you all have valid points on this issue, but I doubt anyone here has ever lived under the rule of a dictator. The path to freedom has never been anything less than what's seen in this [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g07otrwI4j4"]video[/ame] Revolutions in the old ages were even more gruesome, this sort of stuff has to happen for a country to be deemed free. It does seem wrong watching another human being killed, but we can't really judge them for doing it as he was a terrible man. Trial would've made things more frustrating as he would have had the chance (not a good one) to be set free, and it would only delay the joy of freedom to Libya.

I'm not even sure what this comment even has to do with a tyrant being brought to justice... anyway.... I'm sure there are many who appreciate your service. :)

Polish people lived under the rule of a dictator's - Germans then Russian's,- a lot of Poles died on the way to the liberation of our nation in the concentration camps, partisan fighting ,both WW wars and later under the communist system which they (Russians) imposed upon us. Germans robbed us and killed thousands of Poles , Russians after end of WW2 have destroyed our country and economy, but I will never wrote that someone of our oppressors deserves for something like that ... :|

Civilization is something we no longer seem to aspire to.

People always think that responsible for everything is a one person , - this is pathetic ...
