in which world are you living. dont you know it is banned by google and co.cc is itself a domain name, whatever you will register over there will be a subdomain not a domain .

it is not like co.uk or co.in

I'd ask you the same question, don't you know, co.cc it is not banned anymore by google?
Search on google "site:co.cc"

It is exactly the same, the main difference is .co.uk/.co.in and many others are official SLDs to represent a country (as well as com.ccTLD/.net.ccTLD etc) while co.cc is not.

it is what wiki says about ban: Google's JohnMu recommended that individuals who have legitimate sites (in line with Google's Webmaster Guidelines) on the ******** subdomain send a reconsideration request to Google to have their specific site excluded from the ban.

so just for a sake of free sub-domain you will compromise with your seo plus most of the advertisers will say no to your site

and what if like they do like co.tv

co.cc is the choice to invest money and time for seo, it is just a free and fast alternative for amateur webmasters IMO.
I don't think co.cc will close, considering the years they have been online.

Actaully co.cc is very useful for testing/non-profit because you don't have to purchase a domain. It has everything like a "real" domain but its free.

However using it for a business site/forum/blog/anything-that-makes-income sucks.
