With fileserve going down for almost a day I'm wondering maybe other file hosts are involved? Maybe this is a conspiracy theory but I think there's something going on.

The biggest reason I think i'm right is because alot of forums nowadays have banned fileserve for no reason and now only allow oron and filesonic links.

Second reason is that oron's alexa rank is dropping extremely fast. They're losing alot of business. Everything they gained from hotfile going down has almost disappeared. Here's a ss of their rank.

Pornbb and forumophilia is dying as well. If you do a search for a porn movie usually you get 10-15 posts, but now all you find is 1 sometimes none.

i doubt it's conspiracy theory. most people that are new to the warez scene don't even know who oron are. Oron will never will be big unless oron changes it's system. as a free user i was able to download one small file per 3 hours & if you chose to upgrade. the prices are ridiculously high. they are killing themselves with those 2 things.

i had a free 3 month Oron account giveaway. All people had to do was reply to the post with a number. guess what? nobody replied. maybe it's a dead or new forum u say? nope! i was trying to give it away on a large warez forum.. 200k+ members. still nobody replied or was interested in it. lol

For uploaders the more file hosts the better. It gets them to compete harder with each other. More competition means more money for uploaders.

For example when hotfile came into the picture offering money for uploads, rapidshare had no choice but to do the same. The owners decided to stop and its gotten them absolutely no where. Hotfile and fileserve are both bigger than rapidshare. Now they're backtracking and offering unlimited traffic and storage now.
