FileBorg V2.0 PR 2

Hi All,

We have come a long way from a new site to a pretty stable site now. The last time I had asked for a review was months back... :P

Anyways fileborg is growing at a good rate and we have also won the Topsite competition on USAWarez (#1 in there Top Sites). We have shifted to phpBB from SMF a month or so back. Had lots of issues in the last month due or shity hosting company offshorehost.nl going down however we are back now on a stable host and back online with a bang...

So now that we have shifted to phpBB we have a new skin (U might have seen it on some other forums not sure though :p). Have made and edited lot of sections to make it fun for users to browse and enjoy...

I would like all the respected members and the webmasters to have a look and give some opinion (Good or Bad) in order to help us improve it more...

As I said in the SB I really like the whole site. The header is great and the whole skin looks good.
Maybe you could look at reorganizing the FB Exchange area as it's pretty quiet and it will be hard to get posts their. Maybe more Link Heaven to FB COMMUNITY, Forum Comments as sub forum in Announcements and Forum Rules and Test Ground to FB WASTE DISPOSAL and remove the trade. This will spread out the quiet areas and make the site look busier.

But the whole site looks great. Best of luck with it.

The blinking text annoys me and I'm sure it annoys your members/guests. This is squashed up. Try spacing it out. Try adding a background color to this, yellow doesn't go with black imo, change the font colour aswell. The ''subforums'' text, are they really needed? (I'm talking about the "subforums" text only). Ads by google? Have you gone mad? Someone will report you eventually, if you want to know any other good ad companies, go with adbrite or clicksor. This would look good in a table imo, again yellow doesn't go with black imo so change the font colour too. There isn't any ''REGISTER NOW'' image, add one. The logo looks alright but the lines are random, but leave it there since it fills the space up. Favicon is kinda random too, add ''FB'' to it maybe? There isn't any background colour in threads/posts, why? This could be aligned better. The avatar overlaps the online/offline status. The username is besides the avatar which looks like shit. This is random, remove it or add an image which doesn't say some childish thing like ''ACCESS GRANTED'' people don't want to wait a minute to see it say ''Administrator''. I don't like it. "v2" of your site looks as if someone just put a load of crap up, no offence. 6/10.

Great review hawk. Lot of work in that but I disagree with a register now/Guest banner. I don't think it's needed but one could be added to the page that's shown prompting you to login when you try and access an area you don't have permission to view. Also while it is slightly random I do like the favicon. There's way too many that take the easy option and have letters.
