Facebook Launches App Center
Facebook officially rolled out its new App Center at a press event in San Francisco on Thursday with more than 600 apps, according to the company. Apps include Nike+ GPS, Ubisoft Ghost Recon Commander, Stitcher Radio, Draw Something, and Pinterest.

The App Center is available on the web as well as on iOS and Android devices. And according to Doug Purdy, Facebooks director of developer products, users can send apps directly from the web to their mobile device using the send to mobile feature.
Purdy said the the new center gives developers a new way to reach Facebooks vast audience.
The app center provides personalized recommendations and displays the apps your friends are using.
