Finally after an undisputed journey for more than six years, the world's largest social networking site Facebook met with a serious competitor, Google Plus. With the announcement of Google+, Facebook has been facing severe heat in the social network market. And day by day, the war between the two counterparts is becoming nasty!

In a recent move to tackle the expansion of Google Plus, Facebook has reportedly banned an advertisement that asked Facebook users to follow a particular person in Google+. The web developer Michael Lee Johnson alleged that Facebook banned his ad on Facebook, which asked people to add him to their Circles on Google+.

"I recently ran a Google+ advertisement on Facebook that got all of my campaigns suspended. – Great," Michael Lee Johnson wrote on his Google+ account.

Also, Johnson said that he got a message from Facebook saying that his ad was suspended because it violated Facebook's "Terms of Use or Advertising guidelines." Also, Facebook suspended his account and said that it cannot provide him with the specific violations that have been deemed abusive.

The alleged message from Facebook reads, "Your account has been disabled. All of your adverts have been stopped and should not be run again on the site under any circumstances. Generally, we disable an account if too many of its adverts violate our Terms of Use or Advertising guidelines. Unfortunately we cannot provide you with the specific violations that have been deemed abusive. Please review our Terms of Use and Advertising guidelines if you have any further questions."

It's interesting to see the World War between Facebook and Google Plus. Though Google+ is still in field trial stage, it manged to grab more than 10 million users in two weeks. Moreover, 'How to get a Google+ Invite' is still a hot topic in Twitter and Facebook!

Anyhow, it's expected that another giant is also set to dive into the social networking market. According to rumour mills report, software giant Microsoft is also working on a secret project to launch a social networking site called Tulalip. So, it seems to be a never-ending war.

Nice post

Btw Facebook is way better than G+

example: FB got a mobile site/app for all OS and screen resolution which G+ lacks(only adroid).

I want to see google giving a ban to facebook from its search now!!! :P
I don't think you'll ever come across a facebook link in Google, because Facebook is not a content driven website. Its a social website and the content are irrelevant + trash.
Infact, Google should rip off the PR10 given to Facebook by stating a reason "Social Network" :) that'd be good, atleast Google can do that :p

No shit... Social network site *banned on a social network site, that's really something new.

*banned = Banned from advertising, not from sharing the links or whatsoever.

What a dumb ass thing to say. -Rep. Google released an iPhone app the same day it released it's Android app. If you read Googles official release post you'd know this. Its being widely talked about and known well.

The problem is Apples review process is unpredictable at best which is why more and more startup companies are using Android as a media driven launch platform because they can build a organised launch timeframe around it. Did you know some companies are waiting as much as 3 months to get approved?

I really can't stand when people make statements and arguments they know nothing about.
