I am not sure this would work as good as I though, but doing this might make it really easy to get backlinks at good websites that allow links but not promoting websites.

For example:
Upload a file to a filehost, write a post and when writing the link, write it like this:

url to file[/ url]/[/ url]

example with google and youtube looking like a single link:
http://google.com
/

It would also be possible to put it as a keyword instead of just /, but harder.

Would a backlink with anchor text "/" be worth much?

Also would it be good to put backlinks to various pages on the same website? Not sure if it counts any more than just 1 page.

Also possible that the mods would easy see that it is 2 links, but not sure, never moderated a forum. Wouldnt work with coded links either, but generally it is only filehost links that should be coded, so any other link would work.

What kind of a site uses "/" as a backlink.??? You will only benefit from it after you make sure that you have placed your keyword in the anchor text and not some symbol that has no meaning and will benefit your site in any way.

I asked how much it was worth, no need to flame it without reading post. I also said that it is possible to post keyword but it is easier to see that it is a backlink then.

Ofcourse not optimal, dunno if it has any decent value tho, sounds on you that it makes it worthless but it says the value is based on both anchor text and website where it comes from, so if the anchor value is low compared to the website value then it could be worth it.
Tested it with various keywords (as I said would be easily possible)

Like this (same example):
http://google.com/keywordhere
It still looks like it is part of the url, but doesnt get underlined when mouseover and if keyword is pressed it goes to the other website, so higher risk of getting seen (but still probably good on long links and filehost links usually have name of file at end so not really wierd when using that)

Btw, think you are replying to get post counts, considering you replied on a different topic I made, even though I said I solved it.
