I decided to write an article on how to run a successful warez site. We will cover several different factors in this warez article.
Step 1 - Deciding to run a warez site.
First off you must decide if running a warez site is in your best interest. Running a warez site could get you jailed. Its doubtful, but possible. You must be willing to take this chance. You will want to research the different copyright laws in the Country your servers are at. Not all laws are the same. Something that is legal in the United States May not be legal in Sweden. When it comes to running a warez site you will want to keep up with all the CURRENT laws. Copyright Laws change often. When you contact your web host make sure to ask them.....
1) Do you allow warez sites?
2) How do you handle copyright complaints?
3) Are you a reseller or do you own your servers? - Only use hosts that own their servers...
4) Where are the servers located?
5) Do you back up your clients websites on a different hard drive daily?
Make sure your server has fast speeds in your targeted countries. No one will stay at a slow site. This will result in instant DEATH.
Step 3 - The Domain Name
When it comes to organic traffic your domain name can play a HUGE factor. When registering a domain name keep in mind you will want it to be Short and easy to remember. Try not to exceed 15 characters.
You must do a little research before registering. Try to stuff at least one keyword in your domain name. Go to

In this example im going to target "rom downloads" . Rom Downloads gets close to 80,000 search queries a month. 80,00 hits month to your site would be nice huh? Its very possible. So having Rom in my domain name will help a lot, but having rom downloads will help even more. If the keywords are located in the domain name you are at a HUGE advantage. -www.romdownloadss.com - would be perfect for targeting the selected keywords .
Step 4 - Resources

Step 5 - Look and Feel
A good way to kill your site is to have a ton of ads. One of the worst ads you can put on your site is a full page ad. You want to keep people at your site and not send them else where. Users don't want to see Pop ups or pop unders. Creating a VIP section that cost money will generate more money than any of the crappy ads on your site. Make sure your site is easy to navigate. Use popular software like Vb and Ipb. Users are already use to the UI. Also make sure the color scheme is good. I have been to warez forums that give me a headache. An example of a poor color scheme would be a black background with red font.
Step 6 - Keeping People/content
People will not sign up at your site if you don't offer unique content. Just don't go and copy and paste a ton of crap from another forum. This only hurts you. The only time i suggest you copy content is when you site first starts. You must have some sort of content to get people to show up. I suggest you download
