Downloads of DoS Attack Tool LOIC Spike

As Anonymous initiated what it said will be the 'largest attack ever on government and music industry sites' in response to actions taken by the Justice Department against operators of file sharing site Megaupload.com, downloads of a popular DoS attack tool have spiked. While the Denial of Service tool known as the 'Low Orbit Ion Cannon' (LOIC) was developed by the 'good guys' to stress test websites, it has been a favorite tool of Anonymous to take its targets offline via denial of service attacks. Interactions seen on Twitter and IRC, made it clear that the action against MegaUpload has sparked many more individuals to get involved in the online protests and download the LOIC to take part in the attacks and has resulted in a massive spike in downloads according Slashdot sister site Sourceforge.

DDoS in my opinion isn't a pathetic script kiddie tool but infact it's a great tool for people all over the world who want to join together in protest (as demonstrated by Anonymous because of Megaupload).

When used by yourself, however, is rather pathetic. ^_^
 
Well use the Javascript version of LOIC if you don't want to download, anonymous posted PasteHTML links

paste html. co m/vie w/bl3weewxq.htm (remove spaces)
^ for educational purposes, don't visit the page unless you view it via View-Source: since it auto runs the DDoS attack.

Quite nice way to do it tbh, then you can just use simple proxies / TOR etc :)

Edit: the LOIC would say it's a trojan... since it's a DDoS tool... >.>
 
Megaupload down forever.
RIAA, MPAA, CIA, FBI, etc. down for a few hours, but then back up.

DDOS is simply ineffective.

.. also.. WJ is a webmaster board. NOT a hacking forum. dont link to hacking tools -_-

It autoruns because the javascript runs the function on page load.

To use it just recode the script to make it with whatever site you want.

Btw, idea: deface a website but have DOS running in background so ppl visit the site.. and will be DOSing a government site without knowing it >.>

(only joking, cus that's illegal O_o)

though i am no hacker lol,dont have any such knowledge,cant recode the script either,good thing i didnt opened the link to check where to enter site name lol
