I noticed that when people double post mods merge there posts so they haven't double posted but what I do notice is that the mods also reply to the threads saying don't double post. Now that to me seems a bit pointless and the whole point (most cases) double post to try and bump there thread and when mods reply saying they merged it still brings it up to the top as the user wanted.

so my suggestion is just merge then either PM them and tell them not to or give them a warning (not infraction just warning) and if they carry onto do so then infract.

We'll leave a ''Moderated Msg:'' or ''Last edited by reason'' for merged posts (from now on).

We don't infract users if they double post for the first time, but if they do it contionusly it will lead to an infraction.
