domain jurisdiction

hi there i dunno if this question has been asked before but for example if i bought a .nl domain or .ru domain will this be out of jurisdiction of usa or is every domain up for grabs

Just would be interested to know

Well, your domain cant be locked by complaint! but i dont know how long the domain registrar will take to comply to rules and regulations!

if you get *****.nl or whatever... make sure you're with a registrar for that certain country... like for .ru, nic dot ru... etc. getting .nl with godaddy is stupidity :facepalm:

Only .com .net and .org are in US jurisdiction

@cvrle77, wrong. there are many owned by Verizon and its subsidiary. Few are .cc, .biz etc.
