if we take 2 domains with same names like

something.com and something.ws or something.info (just an example)

and use same content for both

will it effect the SEO

is tld really matter?

if yes than please arrange tld's in order according to there positions.

i think it depends on targetting users from a specific country.
.com is used for targetting from whole world.
I might be wrong.

TLD doesnt affect SEO, u can search about this on net. Thr are more than dozen on articles on this which would say no ur SEo is not based on ur TLD but yeah .coms are more prefered by users so may be google gives more preference to .com
 
It used to be more important but isn't really any more. If you are targeting local it is best to go for your cuntry's tld. eg you own a bakery or have a local football team and are setting up a website it's better to use the tld of your country rather than a .com, org. net etc.

Where it's important for warez is how safe the tld is and what are the chances of it being confiscated.

Two years ago .com, .net .org were though to be very safe but have recently being started to be confiscated. Obviously .co.uk .us etc aren't safe either.
Torrentfreak did a good article on this recently and which domains were safe and who to avoid.

Going back to SEO though the tld doesn't matter much if your aiming at a global audience.

i want to buy a domain but com,net,org are not available so i will go for ws (it will also save 1 alphabet :P)

I think it does not affect your SEO...there is no relaton between TLD and ranking except the browsing speed....!
 
in my own opinion no but you'll probably get better chances and superior results with .com since users are accustomed to type .com. In the example below which would you prefer to type

porn.com?
porn.ws?

but if you are considering a geographical area for the site. take mr Happy's advise
