Does anybody know what is happening with pron.tv? I hope it is okay to talk about this.

Okay, so alluc.ee has shut down and it's wikipedia page is hijacked by alluc.uno, which doesn't offer a crawler. A big loss for some, but otherwise okay for those who focus on adult stuff.

Since no one seems to talk about the elephant in the room, let talk about pron.tv.
The site brings more passive earnings than alluc and kind of safer from copyright issues. However, it seems like it is shutting down or at least squeezing money off of the domain before it does shut down. There is no way to contact them and looks like torrentfreak is staying mum about a big scoop.

Does anybody know what is happening with pron.tv?

It's probably related to other recent high-profile shutdowns that have happened the past few months such as gomovies/123movies/gosteam, primewire, alluc, etc. IIRC the assumption is those shut down because it was getting too risky to continue operating from countries like Vietnam (I think) as they were taking a more aggressive stance against piracy. Nobody knows for sure though. The reality is that these days you'd have to be operating on the Moon to escape the copyright mafia and Hollywood. There are practically no safe havens left. In the short term this is bad but in the long term it'll promote decentralized tech like IPFS + a token like filecoin which is impossible to stop or DMCA troll. The sooner we get there the better. It'll be the final nail in the copyright coffin.

looks like it is gone for good. the new owner stopped pretending that pron.tv is under maintenance and went ahead and removed the "under maintenance" notice. sigh*
