We all know about the "LIKE" button and we pushed if we Like something, right?

But what about Dislike button if we don't like something? It should be great, I think!

So, this can brings a lot of attention.

Another ONE field with will looks awesome and will be really interesting:

For example:

Posts: 1,332
Likes: 0
Liked 28 times in 16 posts
Disliked: 39 times in 2 posts
Rep Power: 4

In this way, we can evaluating posts more honest, I guess. Even I guess that it will reduce a lot of unnecessary SPAM posts.

And another one suggestion.


Each post can have some kind of reputation, based on the difference between likes and dislikes, so in this way may attract more attention and people will know that this post is helpful.

I don't know, but I like it. What do you think, guys? :)

Excellent idea. Removing the old reputation field, would be great, I guess. And what about "Join date"? This field can be removed too, because we can see the Join date in the profile?

I don't think so. But using Dislike button can be privately (without showing your username). This will prevent "such games". But like I say - I don't think so. People here are not child at least.

Are all these fancy things really necessary? Keep it simple aye.

Don't like a post? Move on to the next post. Why do you feel the need to vent your hate towards another person because you don't agree with him? Wjunction has gotten really complicated after the new regime took over. We have all this stars, rep bar, rep power, like button, reputation button and what not. All this forum needs is a Thanks button and that's it.

i agree with both of you. it will cause more drama/flame etc.. we are already enough with +/- & Like button, people will start abusing the dislike button and i am damn sure we will start seeing the users with strike mark and the reason is "Abused Like/Dislike" system. it will cause more dramas more fights etc..., so better you use "Negative Rep" instead :)
 
What is the actual use of any of these, except childish games? Both can be abused, so, no real use of any of them. Even worse, negativity and hate would be spread, just like Sp32 said. I would be the first that stuffs you up with negative reps...
 
No disrespect to the red suits, but i don't think they would be able to pull something like this off.

I mean OK, the "like" button is just the "Thanks" mod, with a phrase altering to replace "thanks" with "likes".
But seeing all the default and unnecessary crap that has been installed, i don't think we should be expecting something like this.

They'd be able to pull it off if they wanted to, all they'd have to do is edit the thanks mod or they'd code their own.
