[Discussion] Boxslots - Hacked & What's Going On |

Well for those who are hosted on boxslots and are wondering why they are unable to connect to your servers or your sites are offline - bad news :facepalm:

What's going on ?

Apparently boxslots WHMCS was breached last night and all the databases were deleted as well as all the data on all their servers .

- All data on servers got deleted
* Boxslots will not be able to restore any backups

- No Refunds
* Boxslots won't be giving any refunds but will be crediting the lost days instead

- New VPS
* Boxslots is currently setting up new VPS for their users

Personal :

Their decision not to provide any refunds to their clients is totally wrong .
Now that all their clients data and hard work is lost , its up to them to decide whether they want to stay or find a more secure host in which case they will require their money to get new services instead of forcing them to stay .

After few cases, webmaster still lazy to make backup. Luckily I made backup 5Hours b4 WHMCS breached. Just spend 5-10min for backup ur data, it will save ur ass one day.

Oh s*** happens, I am sure no one wanted this. Well I got an email with NEW VPS information (same specs and all but different IP address.) Completly empty though.

But I can not ping the VPS IP. Last hop on a trace route before time out is @

109.202.96.125 ae3-4.r3-rtm.global-layer.com

I hope this will get resolved soon (submitted ticket) because I really fancy boxslots
 
I still need an answer from officials if their is a effin chance to get back the backups of site , im here to pay a good amount for it
 
The day they started, I already knew it will happen one day. I was sure they will close / die in the following months. I'm so happy I moved after like one week...

If someone else is interested why I left, reply, and I'll tell my whole story :)

i doubt it will be possible unless they are willing to remove the HDD and use a data recovery tool . By now they must have formated the HDDs and setup new vps on it.

Yes they are.. Everything gone man. Can't believe that all the database has been wiped out and leave no trace to restore it.. DAMN.,.

You have this information from were ? I am the companies owner no one else i say what goes on here and i certainly have not said any of the above.

This post, Thread or whatever this is is not needed IF you have a question open a ticket, I'm stood in no spot light here this was a hole in WHMCS and the guys over at WHMCS are onto this. I have kept no one in the dark so please Ticket it or it likely won't be answered.
