I will go with a HP. Used both of them, and HP is better to me.

DELL some times gave me heating issues, like the laptop used to shut down on its own and not turn on. Tried it with 3 laptops, same.

Go for a HP

HP sucks it will Burn like hell , go for Dell it will never heat up, i run my Dell Laptop like 14-16Hours a day :P and HP will die in 2-3hours

for me dell, as the hp pavilion has a poor design and can get you in problems like sound card issues especially in summer. that's what happened to my previous hp hehe
