Debian Issue

Hi,

I want to install following on my Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 \n \l:

sudo apt-get install python2.7 git python2.7-dev python-setuptools python-pip libevent-dev git python-dev

But when i execute it i get following error:

How can i fix this?

the standard repo ist pyhton 2.6
if you need 2.7 you have to use experimental repos:

for this add this line to /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://mirror.cse.iitk.ac.in/debian/ testing main contrib
then do
apt-get update
and try again.

but be sure, that there's no other services that require 2.6

change the URL above to one near your server:
http://www.debian.org/mirror/list

Like he said, you need to add the beta repos or experimental repos to your sourcelist.

You can also do a "apt-get upgrade" after your "apt-get update"
