Cringing at how the media looks at "geeky" stuff

So the famous numb3rs episode of that girl speaking leet speak is quite popular because of its uneducated description of what IRC really is intended for got me thinking, what makes us webmasters cringe when the media points something about dur h4cks xD virus.

E.g.
