This is the best site to check your wordpress blog speed, It also suggests what you should do to improve your speed.

I also like to use GTMetrix
Used it on my old Wordpress site, for many optimizations etc etc.

Small note to anyone that wants to use this and start editing their files... MAKE A BACKUP FIRST :-)
