Cancer!... Has it affected you?

Hi guys... just thought, while chatting in the CB, that I would make one or two maybe not so interesting but also useless threads! I had cancer last year and lost my tongue because of it! YES! I really did! I went through major surgery that nearly cost me my life but came through it and am still here today thanks to the expertise of a wonderful surgeon and his dedicated team. The 3 months of Chemo and Radiotherapy that followed were the worst of my life! It bought nothing but aches pains, numbness, feelings of guilt, remorse and all sorts! I would not wish that on my worst enemy!
Have you or do you know someone close to you that has had cancer?.... Its hard and doesnt only affect you! It affects those around you! Families are the best support ever!

Hey guys! Thanks for the sympathy but Im OK! Really! Im just asking about other peoples experiences. But thankyou all anyway for taking the time to reply! :)
 
Yup... thats the sad thing.... my dad died on the 2nd January in a Hospice. Yes! He had cancer too! My mum must have gone through HELL! Im noe doing a charity trek through the Grand Canyon in October for the charity, Marie-Curie Cancer Care. I hope to raise about £5000 for them. It will be an experience because I have never been toi the USA before! :)
 
dad (still on treatment|longue), sister (alive|genitals),rest on the list dead: her husband (longue), his brother (longue), 4 friends (3 longue, 1 lymph on neck)...
Makes it 8 people in my nearest surrounding. (unless I forgot someone)
We were bombed by US (NATO) radioactive bombs back in 1999.

EDIT: Forgot my sisters daughter, her husband also lymph cancer, but cured. That would be 9

Damn! That must be real hard for you! Its so a real bad killer that it doesnt distinguish who it takes! Discrimination doesnt even come near to the meaning when we are all fighting about other things such as politics and taxes and race or creed! Know what I mean?
 
best wishes for you and all guys here to have a good health but take care at it dont smoke or do things like it,dont use Drugs,Dont drink alchol so much or dont drink it ever
 
Hehe... Im started on my fake cigarettes today!... Its like puffing thru a straw!.... I got ASP Muscle compound with Anabolic shit too for myself to build up muscle and weight! I feel like shit! XD XD
