Hello Guys,

Let me describe you the whole matter in this thread...

First i bought NL RDP in 35 $ from BuyWindowsVPS.com with the purpose of testing their server because they say to take demo, you need to purchase the package and we offer 24 hours money back guarantee aka REFUND

Now within 6 hours, i just asked for refund and they simply denied it by saying that they have terms that they can deny refunds if they wish.

I have not even used their server for 1 single day and they denied it ?

I dont care for money but if they are not refunding then why they are writing in their thread that they have 24 hours REFUND Policy.

Now i told them that just cut 5 $ setup fees and refund me 30 $ and they said that we will think over it and then no reply for 48 hours [ 2 days ]

So I left a review in their thread... [ bad or nice, its my decision as a user ]

After the review, they told me in ticket that "Thank You for the review on the forums and unfortunately we wont be able to you any refund."

Dont worry Mr. Glenn, I will definately tell thousands of people around all the forums regarding your SCAM and SELF RULING Policy

Also that server has oversold HDD and very very slow download and upload speeds...

Also please take legal action if i have done anything bad to your site..I would love that...
You are just telling lies because you came in fault!
 
I've spoken to both parties and the response from Glenn is that their policy states the following:
Refund Is Provided only if services are surrendered or canceled within 24Hours.Cancellations of the service within 24 Hours, should have a valid reason.
We reserve right to deny refund to any client if we do not find the reason satisfactory.
He says the client wasn't dissatisfied with the service, but instead found cheaper hosting elsewhere. For this reason, he will not refund.

I have already given him my opinion on the statement
PS: Unfortunately we do not offer any Demo Services, but we do have a 24 hour refund policy, Incase you are not satisfied you can surrender the RDP within 24 hours and we will refund you in full.

While this may not be a scam, its a bit unclear and unfair in my opinion. However, he has the right not to refund. You need to reword your thread Glenn for the future - I would have been confused as well if I was in snkr007 position.

We have refunded lot of clients in the past who were not happy with our servers. But clients who ask for a refund when they find cheaper service elsewhere, we deny them since you are responsible to do a research before purchasing. If it had been any server related issue, I would have been more than happy to issue him a refund.

But clients who ask for a refund when they find cheaper service elsewhere, we deny them since you are responsible to do a research before purchasing. If it had been any server related issue, I would have been more than happy to issue him a refund.

I have wrote in your thread that server speeds are slow...
Are you blind to see that ? I told you that i am buying other RDP because your RDP was slow and i got new RDP in 18 $ so asked for refund...
Speeds are very low and you posted old screenshots in your sales thread and RAR/UnRAR is shitty slow...
 
So son what did you learn today: When a host asks you for reasoning as to why you want a refund, simply say "It didn't live up to my expectations".

I've saved my ass so much with that^


Then again, indirection towards the refund policy is a tad unfair but then again, who reads the TOS :P

Oh and if no one wants the RDP, please PM me the details.
 
thats wat i was about to post. if you had given reason of slow speed or poor performance he must have surely given reply

Exactly! If you check out the ticket replies, You would see the reason.
The Reason he asked for a refund is , he found a cheaper service and then threatened us as well!
So Yeah....
 
Dude think before you claim that a provider is a scam now a day this is becoming a new trend when someone is unhappy with a service then that provider becomes a Scam!! WTF lol Glenn already discussed this thing with with me its clear that the service provided by Glenn is poor or unhappy the guy needed a refund because he saw a cheaper one!!!!Well its ur duty to check before you buy and search the whole forum there is a very busy section in WJ just for VPS and RDP!!! its so unfair you should search before you claim that a Reputed provider is a scam!!!!!

If you really want to see who really is a scammer you can see in the earlier thread than this in the same forum!!! :D:P

its very common that as a coin has two sides, Glenn got customers of both sides.
but most uploader's prefer Glenn's Windows VPS.

Correct, this is a 'strangle clause'. It's better not to offer a refund, if you can refuse it for any reason not specifically stated in the TOS.

My opinion that if a host states '24 hour refund' he also should state in the sales thread what the conditions of the refund are instead of having a customer read it in the TOS.
