100% of this may not be true, I'm just typing what I've been told the past two weeks, enjoy the story.. Not a happy ending.

November 28 - RapidSpeeds servers went down (Probably wrong date...)
November 29 - BoxSlots received 25 orders the next day.
November 30 - BoxSlots received 35 orders & sold out.
December 1 - BoxSlots received 40 orders & sold out once again.
December 2 - Tickets were being answered & everything started to go back to normal (sold out)
December 3 - BoxSlots was taken down by a jealous competitor. (Hacked) Nearly 30 clients left.
^ 80 hour work week :(

December 4 - All nighter, setup 300 VPS's & started performing over installs, tickets, etc. (30 hours straight no sleep :( )

December 5 - Still performing installs, tickets, charge-backs, etc.
December 6 - Everything was slowly going back to normal, only a couple of tickets left.
December 7 - BoxSlots was once again hacked by a jealous competitor.
^^ 3 hours a sleep each night.. healthy huh? Bad customer service my ass...

December 8 - Once again, setup 250 VPS's, installs, answering tickets & dealing with more charge backs.
December 9 - Nearly every penny was spent on security, upgrades, server maintenance, etc...
December 10 - Tickets, installs, charge-backs, normal day after being hacked..
December 11 - Xen was upgraded to a better control panel & was hoping for auto-reinstall to be done by the end of the week.
December 12 - Tickets & xen work...

December 13, 2011 - During the day, the jealous competitor somehow hacked into our systems & started re-installing our client's servers. Solus was taken offline to prevent this from happening to the remaining clients. During the day, rk's internet was taken down, so he had no way in helping the situation (tickets were not answered, due to the fact, I don't have access to refunding the payments, solus, etc...).

Financially, BoxSlots cannot go on, due to the charge-backs, hacking, & security improvements (I guess they didn't work huh?)

Reputation, we provided a service with decent support & services, only thing that makes us look bad is the hacking... Overall we were a great company.

@Remaining Clients
If you do "have" a server online still & it has not been cleared, please make a backup of all your data ASAP.

I'm 99.9% sure I'm going to be banned because of this prick, I've done my part in this company by providing a service & doing the best I can to make everybody happy, if you guy's can't see that, you need to smash you heads in.

Hope you guy's find a decent host, I worked my ass off & this is what I get in return.

Take care.

Zack

@Devilz, they didn't mentioned anything about unmetered bandwidth on this thread. For getting info on data transfer allocation, visit their site.I saw they offer 10tb - 50tb on different plans

The promotion code you entered has been applied to your cart but no items qualify for the discount yet - please check the promotion terms

Can i have a bonus for NL-X1000?

Ticket:

#781668

cheers, I wanna start uploading again this weekend ;)

Sorry guys for no replies, busy moving house. Pm's replied to tickets updated. i was attempting to keep the post readable I appreciate the tips etc. I will update the posts asap.

@Intrusion, to achieve 4gbps throughput, you need to get SAS15K drives in Raid. Also you may have to upload to multiple hosts in parallel with multi thread.

If you are expecting a 5GB file uploaded to a single file host with 4gbps speed, then it wont happen

We have SAS systems to offer if you require such a thing please open a support ticket.

Here is a standard config we have available i will also attach it in the main post.

Xeon E3-1240
16 GB RAM
4x 300 GB SAS
1 Gbit connection
50 TB data
2 IPs

How are you doing instant setup? The servers are provisioned already, what about os options, are they just pre-loaded with something and if they want something else you/they re-install?

Can 4gbps really achieve 4gbps server upload?

Depends on a bunch of factors, if the port is dedicated or shared could make or break it, the network if it's good or bad, what your trying to upload to even if the network could do it, you might not find any servers able to max out over 1gbit, just depends.

Can we get a test file and see the actual upload speed?

We don't have any 4Gbit/s servers sitting around to upload a test file to unfortunately. Dedicated servers are not set up instantly, if you're talking about the signature that's referring to VPS. The port speed would be dedicated, not shared.

@Cameron[BoxSlots], "if you're talking about the signature that's referring to VPS. The port speed would be dedicated, not shared."

So if you have 6 vps clients (with 1gbps) on single server then you will put 6 x 1gbps NIC on host node ? . If you were mentioning only about 100mbps only, then its true.

The dedicated port speed was at nichole's question regarding 4Gbit/s dedicated servers, not VPS. Regardless, yes for our 100Mbit/s VPS the port speed is still dedicated. All 100Mbit/s servers go on the same type of node, which has 2Gbit uplink, this would mean clients get dedicated 100Mbit/s up to 12 clients on the node, which we only put around 8.

Being it's Christmas almost I figured i'd throw out the hidden specials ;).
