blank page after wordpress transfer

I have been having this issue with every wordpress blog that i've tried to transfer so far.

Steps that i follow:
1. Download all the files from current server.
2. Moving nameservers to new server's address.
3. Add the doamin in new server.
4. Upload all the downloaded files.
5. Take a backup of database from old server's phpmyadmin and reupload it to new server's phpmyadmin.
6. Make any changes in wp-config.php if required.

After doing all that, i always get a BLANK PAGE... i googled and tried a lot of things but nothing worked.
any idea?

have you uploaded the same theme ?

can you access WP-Admin ?

This usually happens when the config file is not able to communicate with the DB.
Check if all the details in the config are corect and you havent deleted the colons ('') by mistabke.

Try deleting the user, make another and add it to the wp-config file, see if that helps.

Update: Ok yeah, seems to be working fine now. i just had to add my hosting's username before the database..

eg: myname_DatabaseName
