Best proxy script?

Whats a really good proxy script available. I have a website that I made/use for my friends at work.

It's working ok, but sometimes its buggy, and I know there are better proxies out there.

The website is a top LTD, but its on a free host, so not anything that needs editing server-wise. Something thats readily available in php, etc..

Anyone know of good proxy scripts?

Most PHP-based proxy scripts really do suck and the whole concept is horrible.

PHP isn't mean to act like a proxy so no matter what code you use, it'll always be slower than a fast regular proxy.
