And which one would you get AMD Phenom II Quad?

or Intel core i7 quad?

Yeah consider a desktop. It's so easy to upgrade, cheaper parts. Oh and I recommend AMD. From my experience.

im using phenom II x4 945 @3.0ghz well ive been using amd since five years and @work i use intel from my experience amd quad core phenom generation II are good and fast and u can easily tweak it and its cheaper!plus amd is better for upgrading later when ull upgrade may be your board will support new processor ull jst have to update bios but with intel u have to change the motherboard :D
