Well if he would provide the URL of the site It may be easy to tell simply by viewing recent discussions "not spam" and members online

With only 438 members it sounds like 3963 guests are either proxy bots to help improve traffic stats, or a bunch of spam

Been registered a while looks Legit enough.

For a site of that size the Alexa rank is piss poor though.

@ Viper, Having a bounce rate that high isnt good at all, It basically is saying you have nonthing but a bunch of 1 Hiters, Which are bots and proxys in my book. Its basically saying their doing nothing but hitting the home page and their gone.

Lets put this another way.

Site A has 10 users who view once for a total of 10 views
Site B has 2 users who really <3 the site and view 5 times for a total of 10 views.

Both are 10 views however Site B has more loyal members who will come back for more traffic. Site A needs to work that much harder to get the 10 views.

Lower bounce rate the better.
