Just wondering if I made posts on forums long ago, and then I edit them now, will it count as backlinks or wont it?

It both should and shouldnt I think.
It should becouse then it is a link there.
It shouldnt becouse that page might not be searched / Might not be updated after edit changes.

If it works I can increase my backlinks easy (got hundreds of websites I can use then and my posts wont disturb anyone) if it doesnt work I have to spend some more time on getting more backlinks.

If it works, how long does it generally take for google to find and take the backlinks into the calculations?

Is any help needed? Like linking to the posts from a different website to cause the spider to search those posts for links again?

How would I do that?
I am pretty sure that google bot wont crawl that specific thread again, unless it get told to do so.

Intending to post in inactive threads, so noone see the backlinks and noone can get angry becouse maybe it wasnt allowed on that site.

Thank you.
Can only do that on my own website I think though. I intend to put my links on websites that I dont own. So dont think I can use that.

Example of what I need:
Website1 doesnt generally allow links to be posted to private websites.
I then make a thread without my link on Website1, then when noone longer view the thread I edit the post and add my link to my website in it so I can get a backlink from that website.

Problem: Google need to actually see that there is a link to my website after I edited the post.

if you dont understand how it works,i suggest that you use services like pingomatic to ping the pages where you have edited the message to your links

Ok, found a thread saying "put the links in a blog post and ping the blog post", so think I am gonna do that on my old blog to get backlinks for my main blog.
