$6.53/gallon

Ah man i had no idea it was sold by liter over there

Probably because USA wants to reinvent everything. Entire world is using liter as a measurement for liquid.
It's not called US Gallon for no reason.

About 1.67$ litre. I think that's most expensive for now, and in my country that's really expensive. Average salary in my country is about 800 $$, but people mostly work for 400-600.

Btw - before 10 years price was about 1$/litre

The US would have a nationwide out break of people going crazy if gas ever got that high here :cough:

At that price, it would be time to ride something more economical, such as a 100mpg chopper, or a unlimited mpg bicycle.

Well here in New York City it kind of varies on the company who owns the gas station and the location of it (Urban Area, etc)

regular can go as high as $4.79 in some places but can be found for $3.70 in some other places. (Per Gallon)

Its called US Gallon because there was a different sized Gallon in the UK, the UK didn't switch to the metric system until the 1960's. They still have a mpg listing of vehicles in the UK based on the imperial gallon, even though gas is sold by the liter there.
But he U.S. does use metric measurements for certain things like a liter of a drink or the engine size of a vehicle.
