If you use true autoposter what are you thoughts about latest fico releases in Xvid? Especially if you post to freshwap, bayw and tehParadox. :)

Amusing? I think they did it on purpose ... to laugh at autoposters get banned :)

Is this some boasting topic?

The auto poster you use must be crap.

My private mod flagged your account as using a autoposter 632 times

I know about that, or at least some - i was lazy to look what you changed, hope there are worse cases then me :)

Anyway - group fico made porn release to as xvid movie, not xxx so lot of people got banned on forums. So i hoped some of the other users of autoposter would add how glad they are about it ...

BTW does thema or classic extremecoderz posters get trough after changes you made?

Could you code this mod for vbulletin 3.8.x by any chance?

JGM.

In short he renamed login.php to another file name eg sign-in.php and then in the template and script changed the login link to the new file. That means that when autoposters try to login it doesn't work as they don't know where the real login link is.
The thing is this requires quiet a lot of template changes which you can't really do in a plugin or mod but it's pretty easy to do yourself as your just changing the links in the template and renaming a file. Have a go on a test site. You'll never know if you don't try.

For the old login file which is now no longer used to login he just coded a script to record the usernames to see who logs in the most. This isn't really needed to stop the autoposters.

As for the original topic this used to happen quiet a bit a while ago. I'm surprised it's not happening as much. I suppose sources and release blogs are becoming more reliable.

As certain things become "commonplace" they get implemented into applications pretty quickly to overcome them. Whilst gavo's protection isnt implemented in my autoposter yet, as i said, if more people do it, then its only a matter of time. Bottom line is you cannot stop it. It takes more time for the administrator to implement than it does for me to overcome.

Having said that, I don't condone spam or abuse. I did at one point refuse to add a reply feature specifically because people would use it to bump topics and wreck forums. Other applications got released that had the ability to reply and thus I was forced to add it myself. I could enforce "anti-abuse" routines, but again, other applications wont, and thus gain popularity as a result.

The best thing to do is create a public list of IP addresses that abuse these applications, or even better, take note of something IPB implemented and maybe a good coder can create something similar:

IPB has an anti-spam routine that, upon sign-up, checks email addresses, usernames, etc.. with a database. Each entry in the database has a "level" assigned to it based on the amount of times that particular entry has been "reported". The user is then either auto-banned or if "semi-bad" required to be validated by an administrator.
It removes the wide majority of spammers. Nothing is perfect, but it does seem to be the best way to apply an anti-spam system.

The creator of this setup could charge as little as $1 a month to allow access to its anti-spam database, and everyone is a winner. Thousands of people would most likely make use of it, and not only the warez scene.

In you are eyes what does it take fir someone with an autoposter to be considered a spammer by you? Fake dvdrips? 100 of posts in 3 minutes?

FiCO always do that, if you haven't banned them yet, trough filters, then you deserved a ban :)

There was 2 releases

Female Masturbation 3 Clitoris The Key To A Womans Pleasure 2004 DVDRip XviD-FiCO
Female.Masturbation.2.Every.Womans.Orgasm.Is.Unique.2004.DVDRip.XviD-FiCO

lol

@ Jay's comment and the whole IPB thing. I made something like that about 2 years ago believe it or not and posted it here on WJ. It was a central database I controled where admins and moderators could report usernames, emails, IP's etc to a the DB but the problem is Warez Admins are almost as bad as uploaders and spammers. You need good honest admins and moderators but instead people reported people they just didn't like or competition so it became a bit of a disaster and the project was abandoned.

Goes to find a copy of it.....

EDIT:

Can't find the post yet on WJ. It's from sometime in early 2010 but I found the script on my computer.

EDIT 2:

OK I found it but it's being removed? Why? Its still in Google but not on WJ?

cvrle77: Yep, i don't brag about it, i had filters for other words, not masturbation :), but you are probably right about filtering everything from fico ... little loss of downloads, but peace in mind :).

BTW right now i post only to about 5 forums, do you think there is more posting to? I plan on crating my own site also, but as usual i'm too lazy.

I guess there are varying levels of it. I think the best way to determine whether it is spam or not is to use a specific definition (Wikipedia >_<)

Spam (electronic), unsolicited or undesired electronic messages

@MrHappy - doesnt the whole "tier system" thing kind of get around random reporting? For example, only auto-ban if it has been reported say 20 times by 20 different URL's or something. You could then run a daily cron or whatever to remove users that have only been reported once or twice in the past two weeks or something.

Renaming UCP didnt pick up evlo's username, i posted about this because its easy for autoposter developers to pick up what has been done and fix it.
Still there is a long list here
http://waz-warez.org/ucp.php

I have other things in place that just log autoposters and he was flagged a lot, as jayfella said as soon as its public/mainstream it will be bypassed

I think the best method for autoposter is not to make blocks for them as the developers of the apps will make work arounds, just log them.

And as sugested by Mr.Happy use the logged user list and add them to a group and limit posting per day.

Autoposter users on waz-warez have there own special permission to only make 10 posts per day (because there special) :sun: if another account is made there IP banned

Imo best anti autoposter thing is captcha with images on post like FYT have on login page. Very hard to beat even with captcha trader. Not impossible - obviously.
