Apples iPad 3 rumored to be thicker than iPad 2

Reports suggest that Apples new iPad 3 release sometime in 2012 will be slightly thicker than previous releases. It will however still have the same screen size of 9.7-inch. This is possible suggesting a improvement to the screen resolution in the device.

Seems interesting. Users in the market prefer the newer slicker design for the iPad 2 but let's see what'll make the 3rd one jump out of the water for people not to care about the slickness of it
 
Thicker would normally mean its heavier i assume. They are starting to go backwards. They have always wanted it thinner and thinner, and now that it cant get any thinner they make it thicker...

Thats just my 2 cents...

I doubt that they'll make it that much heavier than the 2nd one. The 2nd iPad weighs 1.33 pounds so it probably won't be much heavier than 1.5 pounds. They'll probably change the graphic chipset since they said they want to make it better for graphics so let's hope for a higher resolution!
 
Yeah well, lets just hope they dont resort to some cheap crap materials.. nothing has been said about how much it will cost either .. who knows
