Ps3 has 256 MB dedicated system memory and 256 MB dedicated graphics memory.
Xbox 360 has 512 MB shared system/graphics memory.

Its always fun to see the xbox/ps fanboys go head to head with numbers and specs. But you guys are forgetting that none of that matters when the bulk of console games are cross platform. Only in ps or xbox exclusive games could there be a difference and even there the real world difference is slim to none.

So, which is the better console? None. Only personal preference can decide which is the better one for you, but not better in general.

The reason I like the ps3 and I think xbox 360 is a waste of money, is because of personal preference, but it is also because of logical reasoning.

Ps3 can use any usb headset, keyboard, mouse, or web cam.
Ps3 hard drives can be replaced with any 2.5" hard drive.
Ps3 has built in wifi capabilities.
Ps3 has built in blu ray.
Ps3 has built in blue tooth.
Ps3 has a web browser included in it.
Ps3 can install any Linux OS under the "Install other OS" menu.
Ps3 can emulate NES/SNES using a flash drive and no mods at all.
Ps3 has IN-GAME video chat and voice chat.
Ps3 disc size for game data is 50 GB and can continue to grow.
Ps3 has 8 CPU cores.
Ps3 has free online play.

Xbox 360 can't use any usb headset, keyboard, mouse, or web cam.
Xbox 360 hard drives can be replaced with only Xbox 360 specific hard drives.
Xbox 360 doesn't have built in wifi capabilities.
Xbox 360 doesn't have built in blu ray.
Xbox 360 doesn't have built in blue tooth.
Xbox 360 doesn't have a web browser included in it.
Xbox 360 can't install any Linux OS without voiding the warranty because it is NOT supported.

buy a U.S. ps3 and buy U.S. games for it then or buy the ps3 from a near by country and the games for the ps3 from that country as well.
