BUDAPEST — The owners of a run-down warehouse in Budapest claimed Wednesday that a security guard allegedly conned Hollywood star Angelina Jolie by illegally leasing her the building for a film-shoot.
One of the owners told AFP that the guard allegedly pocketed 2,000 euros (2,750 dollars) for renting Jolie the warehouse without informing him or his partner.
"My partner called to ask if I knew about a film-shoot in our building," he said, asking not to be named.
"And he said: 'you'll never guess. It's Angelina Jolie!'."
The guard "thought we wouldn't find out about it, because we hardly ever go to the building," the owner added.
Jolie is currently directing her first film and shooting some of it in Budapest.
