Hi,

So far I'm deeply dissapointed in offshore hosting. Within 2 months, i'm trying my second host (shared hosting) but it's the same = regular downtimes!!!!!!

I can understand that sometimes hosts need to perform maintenance on their server, but within this short period I experienced hours of downtimes and sometimes on a daily basis.

Is it the same with every offshore hosting? Or is it just me who managed to chose the most miserable ones?

i just cannot accept that the host makes my site unavailable because there is some kind of attack by kids against their servers.

Does anyone have an offshore plan who doesn't experience these kind of problems?

Yeah, I would say you just picked some bad ones.

I would recommend

1) WRZHost.com
2) SVRHost.com
3) Shinjrui.com

(in that order)

Don't go near:

www.piratesolutions.com (claims to have 24-7 support and i cant get hold of them at 1:02pm)

warez-host.com (run by ten year olds)
solidnode.com (Extremely bad down times)
webthosting.com is not too bad but they are quite likely to have downtime. (as they have done previously on quite a few occasions.

Hope this helps.

offshore host = unreliable

stick with onshore... there are some that do allow warez linking and they usually keep their promise of 99% uptime. PM me, I will let you know of a stable onshore host, where you won't face any warez probs.
If it's a torrent site, then I suggest you stick with offshore.

HostBeyond is one of the better ones, I believe there servers are located in the netherlands which is good. If they don't work out for you try WRZHost there located in china though. Steer clear of any new hosts until they start to get customers that way you can see what the customers think of there service.

You will find that WRZHost.com is not in China, all their shared and VPSs are in Amsterdam in a private data centre where they co locate.

:)

I have faced the same probs mate.

But now I am quite satisfied with www.piratesolutions.com

I don't think they do any kind of over selling at all so its all fast and furious :D

Dude, you cant reccomend your own company, and when you are a reseller. You need to get real customers before anybody will trust you. your just spamming your pants hosting company around the forums.

I will add you to my list of people not to host with at the begining of this topic.

Nick you dont know nothing about SolidNode. Almost all of those hosting co. you said before that are trusted may be hacked any moment. SolidNode is 24/7 DDOSED but nobody notices that. The only downtime was because of server failures and something like that. You can't say something is good/bad if you havent used it by yourself.

Every hosting company should know how to mitigate a DDoS attack on its servers.

True. Although there are loads of things that they could have done to stop this.

If my servers I being ddosed, I just request new IPs from the DC, normally stops it within 20 mins of being down.

just goes to show they have no firewalls or protection

Its just a frase, dont keep me on word. LOL

Oh, Nick. If someone tries hard engouth they will ddos the new IP too. But lets stick on the topic

sticking to the topic all SHARED offshore hosting isn't reliable best is to buy a vps or dedi like I did....then sell some hosting accounts on it like I am
