From what i have seen from the members "respected Developer" isnt to bad but "respected member" just means nothing at all. If "respected" means acting like some of the mods and respected members here ill pass. Respected Developer wouldnt be to bad though :)

Thank you for your input speedofpain. It has been noted that you're not a fan of the respected rank and therefor, to your request, you will never receive the rank.

So, at the end, everybody wins. Happy times.

Basically, so many members just like to abuse, what a kiddish way to express your anger, really! It just surprises me that a user with 1000+ posts is abusing someone just because someone stole his panties from his wardrobe, or someone pulled his pants off infront of everybody! That didn't even happen, this means many abusing goes off unnecessarily or without any reason.

It's called trolling.

Now, back to the topic, I don't see why you guys have to explain "How to get Respected Rank". If someone is getting promoted, i'm sure we all know what he did for the community because we don't promote random members. And a few of us like to be "original". There's nothing wrong in giving "Use google or giving him a lmgtfy link". Comeon, this is a webmaster forum. If he can't learn how to google, why should he be here? :/

I think a lot of good points were made in this thread that lots of people give smart-ass responses and for no reason, doing so neither benefits or harms them. Hell yeah the OP could have Google'd the problem and be done with it but most forget that they all started out in the same way, as complete noobs and someone was nice enough to help them. I'm not writing this see myself as a saint, I've done it a lot and so have many people. Also, many people do it just because others do it. I think some people have gained that mentality after being on WJ for a while and seeing others they do it too because they "seem cool." Previously, a lot of Respected did that too but I think the new criteria and all is a good way of weeding that out and starting over.
