Thank you for your advice and suggestions. We are always happy to receive different opinions from Resellers.
We do understand that it can be frustrating that our website is not in the preferred language of many users. We have decided to leave everything in English and German as these are the only two languages we support in. Please note that we are the only company offering phone support. It would be hard to find a supporters who speak so many different languages and make sure they are here from 8 am until 11 pm CET every day. This is where the assistance of the Resellers is required, to offer local payment options and online support in their native language. This would also be unfair to Resellers if everything was written in native languages, as everybody would only contact us.
Furthermore, the discounts which are given to Resellers are reasonable, and trust me we have calculated this many times. We are the only company actually implementing Resellers into the business. When I analyze the Hotfile.com and Megaupload.com website , I do not see any signs of Resellers being part of the company as they are not listed anywhere. This is important as we have more that 400’000 user’s coming across our Reseller Page every month. We are also the only ones offering a Reseller Interface, for automatic account creation as well as many other features.
The reason for Bank transfers is due to the chargeback systems and many issues we have had in the past with payments options like Paypal or Moneybookers. This decision was decided by our lawyers, to prevent any fraudulent activity.
I fully understand that the new pricing will be a shock for many people. It is crucial to know that the average download capacity of user’s is 70 – 80 GB a month. Many User’s were complaining that the 30 GB were not sufficient for their needs and thought that this was a scam to make user’s keep renewing their RapidPro package. We decided to take notice of this and changed the monthly limit for user’s. This is why everything has been multiplied by 5.
Example:
99 Rapids = 495 Rapids
10 GB Storage = 50 GB
30 GB Traffic = 150 GB
Please keep in mind that Traffic is accumulated and that the prices are still the same, for the service provided to our user’s. It just seems costly too many users as they are now charged 495 Rapids instead of 99 Rapids.
Please understand that 1 Click file-hosting has become a very risky business, as many large companies and cooperation’s see our business as illegal. As it is very costly having to go to court and it can cost a company’s existence in the future, we have decided to reach a compromise. This means that we have had to stop the whole reward system as it was. In the eyes of many large companies it looks like we are rewarding uploaders who are sharing illegal files throughout the internet. It is in our interest to be a professional company even in the future to come, an make sure that all large cooperation’s and court’s see our point of view.
We do see that so many people are happy to join to different file-companies, as they say everything is just better. What many people have to understand is that there is one large difference. Hotfile.com and Megaupload.com still have a reward system for uploader’s. This means more files, more people, more money to spend, no limits etc. We are convinced that these other companies, will have to change their way of thinking in the near future, as this is too good to be true. This means that everybody is going to run to the next file-hosting company in search of discounts!
Ling please do not get me wrong, but all of these points have been thought through many times and these are the measure we have had to take. I do think that our loyal user’s will still be with us in years to come.
