Okay. If we take the chatbox away the website run's fine and dandy. But if we run the chatbox even on another link instead of the homepage it still crashes often. We have contacted are host and they have no idea what is going on. Unlimited bandwidth.

Try creating a .htaccess file, then add "RewriteEngine Off" (or On, either way) at the very top

The server is having high load. Contact your host to shift your site on different server.

Make sure your chatbox folders and any other recent ones have owner/group set to your site name as the rest of your forum folders.

The server is having high load. Contact your host to shift your site on different server.

This seems too obvious of a solution lol If it is this, move to another host as your current one cannot spot obvious problems and should not be allowed near a server.

High load should be detected. But is this a shared host?

If so you might get kicked. )
